The Seascape Cemetery was established in 1919. The landmark Seaview Burial Park in Burnaby is the first non denominational cemetery created as a for-profit commercial enterprise in British Columbia. The design of the cemetery was conceived by Albert F. Arnold, an official of the Canadian Trust Company. He pointed out that he is always frustrated because many cemeteries lack beauty, and due to neglect, cemeteries eventually become sad places covered in green grass. Therefore, Mr. Arnold deliberately created a cemetery with a park like atmosphere, allowing his family to create beautiful memories. Tomb type and price: 1.
